Kano Masunobu (1625 - 1694)

Kano painter at the middle part of the Edo period.
His pen name (pseudonym) is Tohun.
Real son of metal-carving craftsman Goto Ritsujo.
Became son-in-law of Kano Tanyu.
He was conferred the "Hogen" rank by Tokugawa Iemitsu, the 3rd Tycoon of Tokugawa Shogunate.
Patriarch of the Surugadai Kano school.
