Kohjo was born in Hyogo Prefecture.
His given name is Torajiro.
Kohjo studied painting under Nishiyama Suisho in Kyoto.
Moved to Nagoya in 1912.
Accepted for the Bunten Exhibiton for the first time in 1916.
Also accepted for the Teiten Exhibitions for several times.
After World War 2, Kohjo was accepted for the Nitten Exhibitions for a few times.
