Shunsai was born in Toyama Prefecture in 1900.
He graduated with the Kyoto School of Painting Art.
He became a pupil of Yamamoto Shunkyo, a giant of the Maruyama school.
Shunsai was good at painting the Sansui landscape views, flowers &
animals, and he flourished as giant of Kyoto circle of painters.
His another pen name before Shunsai was Ikko.

There are a few faint spots on the drawing part.
So, the condition of this scroll is very good.
The rising sun, Japanese Tsuru (crane) bird couple and Matsu tree are painted
artistically.
