Artist Tosa Mitsusada (1738 - 1806)

Mitsusada was born as the second son of Tosa Mitsuyoshi.
Younger brother of Tosa Mitsuatsu.
Mitsusada established a new school in the Tosa style.
In 1790, he produced wall paintings at the Kyoto Imperial Palace with Tosa Mitsutoki, the head of the Tosa school.

This scroll may have been re-mounted.
Although, there are several small holes at the top part of the mounting.
The drawing part is a little foxed overall as it was drawn years ago.
There are some spots and stains.
Folds are noticeable.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is so-so.
An Uzura (quail) coulple is drawn well and elaborately.
