Japanese style painter flourished from the Taisho era to the beginning part of the Showa era.
Seikan was born in Kobe in the 31st year of the Meiji era.
He studied Japanese painting under Miwada Beinen and Hashimoto Kansetsu.
Seikan was good at painting Sansui landscape views and flowers & birds.
He lived in Sakyo Ward of Kyoto city.

This scroll may have been re-mounted.
Although, there are spots on the mounting part.
There are also many faint spots on the drawing part, however, those are not so noticeable.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is not so bad.
A landscape view in the Arashiyama Valley in Kyoto Prefecture is painted artistically.
