The 334th head priest of the headquarters Nanzen-Ji Temple of the Rinzai-Shu Sect of Zen Buddhism, and also the 11th Kancho minister of the Rinzai-Shu Nanzen-Ji School.
His pseudonym is Mokkei.
Daijo was born in 1919 in Nagano Prefecture.
In 1928, he entered Buddhist priesthood at the Nanzen-Ji Temple in Kyoto.
In 1941, he graduated from the Rinzai-Shu Senmon Gakko School.
In 1967, he became the chief priest of the Tenju-An residence in the Nanzen-Ji.
In 1984, he became the 334th head priest of Rinzai-Shu Sect.
On August 4th of 2008, Daijo deceased at the age of 89.

Description

It was drawn by the 334th head monk of the Rinzai-Shu Sect of Zen Buddhism.
There are a few small spots on the scroll.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is good.
A Kanji character which means "Harmony" is drawn powerfully using Fude Japanese brush and Sumi black ink.
