Jitsuzen was born in Kii Province.
He learned the Buddhistic scholarships of the Tendai Sect. at the Meioh-In
Temple.
Then, he studied Buddhistic rules under Ogino Dokuen in Tokyo.
Participated in the International Religious Conference held in Chicago in 1896.
In 1898, he moved to the Rinzan Sect.
In 1903, he became the Chief Priest of the Eigen-Ji Temple.
His pen names are Sekiren and Tsuryoken. |

There are spots and stains to some extent.
Although, the condition of this scroll is not bad.
A Zen phrase is written in good Kanji form.
The literal translation of the phrase is that "The water of the mountain
stream is full, however, the water is always flowing."
The phrase contains other deep meanings. |
