Description |
We estimate this scroll was drawn before World War 2.
There are some spots, stains and folds.
Although, the condition of this scroll is not bad.
A carp (Koi fish) leaping a waterfall is drawn artistically in the Suiboku
painting method with Japanese brush.
A San Kanji writing at the top is also drawn.
The phrase means that a carp leaped over the waterfall will become a dragon.
Carp is a symbol of a successful career. |
