Description

We estimate this scroll was drawn over 100 years ago.
There are a few small tears on the mounting.
There are faint spots to some extent on the drawing part.
Some folds and amotions are recognized.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is so-so.
Although, Daruma is drawn powerfully and artistically with Japanese brush.
A San Kanji writing at the top is also drawn.
The Kanji writing just means "In the cave".
Daruma is the patriarch of Zen Buddhism who lived in the 6th century, and, he has seated in meditation for 9 years in the cave.
