Inoue Katsunosuke (1861 - 1929)
Nephew of Inoue Kaoru.
Katsunosuke became an adopted son of Inoue Kaoru.
Studied in England in 1872.
Later, he entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He held prominent positions such as Germany and England Ambassador, Court
Chief and councilor. |

Description |
This scroll was drawn before 1929.
There are spots and stains.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is not good.
Although, Daruma is drawn powerfully with only black Sumi ink.
The Kanji writing (Gasan) at the top part is done by Inoue Katsunosuke,
the son of Inoue Kaoru who was a veteran statesman of the Meiji Restoration.
The Inoue was a Japanese marquis family and Katsunosuke played an important roll in a diplomat. |
