Female Nanga style painter.
Seiran was born in Osaka in 1868.
Her real given name was Motoko.
Seiran is a pseudonym.
She studied the Nanga style painting under Hashimoto Seikoh.
In addition, she studied literature under Tsumashika Yusho, brush drawing
under Teranishi Ekido and Murata Kaiseki.
Later, Seiran established private schools.
She deceased in 1931 at the age of 64.

There are some small spots on the painting part.
Although, the condition of this scroll is not bad.
A landscape view is drawn well in the Nanga painting style.
