Description

We estimate this scroll was painted before the Second World War.
It is slightly foxed overall as it was painted years ago.
There are a few small holes at the top of the mounting.
There are several tears at the side, although, those are not so noticeable.
Some small spots are recognized in whole.
One of the two roller ends is cracked and its cap part is depressed.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is not so bad.
The subject of this painting is the Nachi Cataract (Nachi no Taki).
The Nachi Cataract located in Wakayama Prefecture is regarded as the most beautiful waterfall in Japan.
It is painted with atmosphere.
