Inada Kyuko (1866 - 1931)

Professional Chirographer.
Kyuko was born in Hiroshima in the 2nd year of the Keio era (1866).
He studied Kanshi poetry under Handa Keiken, Kikuchi Sankei and Su Kokou.
And Kyuko studied calligraphy under Maeda Mokuho and Kusakabe Meikaku.
He served as a calligraphy teacher for about 40 years at the Hiroshima Prefectual Teacher's School and the Hiroshima Commercial School.
He deceased in the 6th year of the Showa era (1931) at the age of 66.

Description

The scroll is slightly foxed overall as it was painted years ago.
There are not a few faint spots at the bottom part.
Some folds are recognized.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is so-so.
Although, a big waterfall is drawn artistically using Japanese brush and only black Sumi ink.
Tree branches at the front are also painted well with atmosphere.
