Description

We estimate this scroll was drawn over 40 years ago.
There are some folds and faint spots on the drawing part.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is not so bad.
The writing is Tokugawa Ieyasu's teaching.
Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543 - 1616) is the first tycoon of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
The teaching says "Life is just like a very long road. You have to head along the road with heavy burden. Do not haste. You can feel comfortable if you acknowledge that inconvenient matters happen to you at all times".
