Sumiyoshi Hiroyuki (1755 - 1811)
Hiroyuki was born in 1755 as the eldest son of Itaya Keishu, professional painter of the Sumiyoshi school.
Later, Hiroyuki became an adopted son of Sumiyoshi Hiromori.
In 1781, Hiroyuki became an official painter for the Tokugawa Shogunate.
He made paintings on Shoji screens of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.

The scroll has been re-mounted.
There are some stains, slashes and folds on the painting part.
Paints are a little exfoliated as it was painted years ago.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is not so bad.
Japanese court nobles in the Heian period (794 - 1192) boating on a river are drawn well.
