| Description |
The painting part is foxed overall as it was painted years ago.
We estimate it was painted over 100 years ago.
There are spots and stains, however, these are not noticeable.
It is re-mounted so that the mounting is neat.
As a whole, the condition of this scroll is not bad.
The scene is well-known one.
The famous Samurai, Ohta Dokan (1432-1486, Built the Edo Castle) asked
a woman for a straw raincoat, the woman implied there was no raincoat by
showing Wisteria flowers based on the old Japanese Waka poem.
The motifs are painted very well.
This scroll looks very nice.
